Hammersmith is within close proximity to central London and is one of the few places were you can still find affordable homes. After many years of unfair criticism, Hammersmith has firmly established itself as a fashionable place to live. To call Hammersmith busy and cosmopolitan is just a snippet of how the place truly feels. If you like city life there is no more intense competitor than here.

Property Types & Architecture

Predominately Victorian terraces with pockets of beautiful earlier riverside homes and houses in leafy corners, mansion blocks and new flats.

Shopping & Entertainment

Hammersmiths prestigious arts scene gives the West End a run for its money: the Lyric Theatre, the Hammersmith Apollo and the Riverside Studios contribute to the "buzz" which attracts and keeps affluent young people. The redevelopment of the Broadway Shopping Centre has provided Hammersmith with a fantastic range of shops, entertainment and night life to suite all tastes including a comprehensive range of trendy bars and restaurants that add to the young, vibrant feel of the area.

Transport

There are no shortage of buses here and tubes are equally represented. Tubes: Hammersmith (zone 2, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, District). Hammersmith: to oxford circus is 25 mins (1 change), City is 35 mins (1 change), Heathrow is 40 mins away.

Ravenscourt Park is a remnant of the Manor House of Paddenswick, destroyed in the war and now an immensely popular and large park with all manner of sporting facilities and even a nursery. In addition to Ravenscourt Park there is Normand Park which provides leisure facilities jointly run by Holmes Place and the council.

Who lives here?
